I have had this battery grip for about a month and it has been the best addition to my photography gear so far. It holds 2 batteries and fits the camera as if it were mfg. by Canon themselves. It has the rubberized grips that are lacking on the Rebel 1000D XS model which makes it a great addition. Overall , if you are going to do portraits with it and be shooting vertical then this grip and battery is a must have. Very good product and it’s priced right where it should be.

For the money i think this is a great product. It looks and feels OEM, and the finger grip (which the canon grip doesnt have) is awesome. I find it more comfortablke to shoot vertical that horizontal now. For the camera i have, the money, the features, its awesome.

I ordered this after reading many reviews and comparing other brands, including Canon,

I received the unit. It was well packaged with excellent instructions in multiple languages.

Grip surfaces are as good as my Canon T1i and the quality is great.

I am well pleased with the unit and all buttons and connections work as advertised.

the value far displaces its price. i still can not believe what i paid. it’s light and has all the attributes of a three times priced item.

    i am ecstatic.

It basically performs as expected. It works. I had no problem with the wheel. But within the first hours of use I apparently bumped into something and the shutter release button broke, then came completely off. Fortunately there is enough of the stem left that it still works, but it’s uncomfortable. Wish I’d spent a little more and got a better one. But I wouldn’t have one at all if not for these alternatives to the expensive ‘official’ model.
